[XBOX] TimeSplitters: Future Perfect has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back, yesterday An!NE and I went around hunting for games - we attempt to do this at least once a month for new stuff to cycle and well they did. There is a chance An!NE will start to blog with me here with his Playstation / Playstation 2 collection, although he's still deciding which system to focus on. Funny enough it took myself around 3 years to find out which system I wanted to focus on, and I really didn't expect the XBOX to be it... Now I just love the system to much to break away from it.
So we both came back with a bunch of titles, and many of them uncommon.
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect was one title I've been searching for and finally it's added to my XBOX collection.

So why is TimeSplitters so hard to find? Well it's hard to find a 'black label' one first of all, and secondly many are just not in good condition and I'm sure you're all aware of how picky I am with condition. Apart from those two factors it's common. Some sellers on the world of eBay price this game oddly, some are $20, some are $6 I'm sure it's got to do with how complete they are... Well hopefully.

So condition! Per usual scuffs on the case, the manual and DVD are fantastic. At $4 I don't have any reason to complain.

That's all for me, more games to come! See you there!

[PLAYSTATION2] Project Zero 3 Review Code Goes for AU$100 at Auction

Hi gamers and collectors!

It's that time again! Wait is it? No it's the first time, Playstation 2 related stuff doesn't happen here very often but this one takes the cake and well I'll allow it just this once, or twice. An eBay seller was selling a bunch of Playstation Review code discs, while going through them I spotted a title my sister loves so much, Project Zero... Or Fatal Frame depending where you're from. If you're a fan of survival horror you'll know Project Zero/Fatal Frame is rather well known for it's... Ghosts, topless ghosts to be precise.

Well anyway the auction started at 0.99GBP, while watching the item for days on end and not spotting a single bid - I was surprised, continued to watch it and there was 1d left, still no bids! So I was about to enter an amount until I refreshed once more and noticed it jump to $20, still not bad for review code right? Refreshed again, BAM! $80, the auction ended at $100 - the same price for the retail copy, I expected it to reach more really. Who ever won this sure won a gem, please at least record footage of it!!!

For those who are not too sure, for the disc it's self, it's review code - meaning it was given to the press for review a few weeks before release date. Generally review code is rather close to retail, sometimes with just added Level Selects for RPGs and so on - the seller stated in the auction it's close to retail, so I was right. How much the seller has played the retail, well that's a little hard to justify... All I hope now is that the buyer will document the found differences, but I doubt that will happen at all.

[XBOX] I'm never inactive... Commission!!!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back, I know it's been a while since I've gotten anything in, or blog about anything new at the moment. I've been making videos for the past week however, be sure to check them out here. I'm always online, I have nothing better to do, since no where is getting back to me after applying to every job close by.

The latest project I'm working on is a commission for someone who wants a XBOX with HDD loaded games and what not. So I thought I'd put that 1.6 I recently recovered and put it some good use and a new home. In the latest video is the XBOX that will be getting shipped out, you can see it's running EVO-X dash, dual booted with MS-Dash... Although that may seem useless now-a-days since XBOX Live is no longer with us, it's great to dual boot in case of a recovery.

With all that it's got an 80GB IDE HDD, games load in a snap too much quicker than the OEM drive. Also 4 new controllers and HD AV Pack :). Hopefully I get all the games installed and extras ready for shipment :)

So that's all I've been up to lately, hopefully I win some current auctions though.... Don't worry I'm still at it!

[XBOX] Conker Reloaded 1 of 4 XBOX sold on eBay for $610!

Hi gamers and collectors.

Welcome back, yeah, yeah I didn't win the auction... From the feedback I got after posting it on the ASSEMblergames forums, it just doesn't sound like it's worth the $610 - of course that's all a matter of opinion.

I was wanting this system quite bad, there are only 4 ever made, hence the price I guess. But my limit was $250. Besides most airbrushed XBOXs are not that great looking, even the DOA:XBV one doesn't look that sweet and there are 20 of those. Any how, another time and another day... I possibly won't see one until I'm 40...Which is 20 years away, AHHHHHH!!!!

[XBOX] XBOX Collection Guide now Live!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back, I just finished making the XBOX Collection Guide 5 minutes ago. Head over there and see what you're missing ^_-

[3DS] Liberation Maiden Review

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back to yet another review - we'll be looking at the recently released eShop title "Liberation Maiden". Let me tell you, the title alone caught my attention. You play a female president in Japan, who protects her country firing from a flying mech. Your goal in many missions is to destroy "spikes", the spikes destroyed the land, and are built underground when destroyed the land will be purified. This is your goal through most missions, you'd think it get's repetitive but actually the game mixes things up often enough you forget.

The game has amazing anime cut scenes that are really appealing to the eye, let alone in 3D - I'm not totally  a fan of 3D movies or games but Liberation Maiden looks so good, it's worth converting my preferences and you'll agree, trust me. Along with the beautiful animations, comes fantastic voice acting. Yes, this game's voice actors are great, most the time I think I'm relaxing watching an anime series, that's just how good they are.

Visuals are rather nice also, explosions and lot's of eye candy is what makes this game special. No frame rate issues, no laggy animations it's all smooth fast paced action! The environments however do lack a bit of detail, they are usually tiny bits of land and you'll be fighting your enemies in a sphere like battle scene - which most games have any how.

Lastly the controls - THIS is the major issue, why? Well if you're a lefty you can't play this game... Let me explain. In order to control your mech you use the circle pad, to fire you use the touch screen... uh huh, that's right the A B X Y buttons are NOT used and there are NO options to change them. This is a major let down, it states no where you're required to use the touch screen for firing, let alone you must be right handed. It's no skin off my nose for this as I'm right handed, but it's annoying to know people that are left handed will not be able to play, let alone comfortably. Even being right handed it's not the best control scheme, I know it would be way too easy just using the circle pad and the buttons sure, but at least allow us to change the option - my hand cramps up within a few hours playing this ><"

Overall, it's worth $12 if you're right handed, the voice acting is good, great animations and voice acting in the cut scenes, along with great visuals and interesting missions. Might be more enjoyable on the 3DSXL, of course I can't have a say in that, I don't own one yet. :>

[XBOX] Goldeneye Rouge Agent has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back to yet another addition to my XBOX collection, Goldeneye Rouge Agent. This was sent to me for free as compensation from an eBay seller who sent RPM Tuning, if you can recall me talking about how RPM arrived with a broken case, this was to say sorry. Also another replacement case is being sent as well. So thanks for that :).

As I though that I was so close to owing all 007 related games, I'm actually missing one more "007 Everything or Nothing". I did come close to owning Everything or Nothing but there was no manual - just my luck -_-. Another thing I just don't understand is why Goldeneye lacks the 007 title, I'm guessing because you're not playing as James Bond in this one...  I know weird approach, all do respect for this game I don't feel unstoppable unlike the other 007 titles out there, just because you're not referred to as Mr Bond.

Condition wise? I can't complain, the DVD had some trouble loading up the first time I loaded it... As crappy as the XBOX DVD Drives are, is likely my other drive is on it's way out also. (which reminds me to grab some optical pick-ups for the drives). Other than that, it's rather perfect ^_^.

More games to come, see you there!

[OFFTOPIC] Waahhh I'm Sick!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back, so going to a convention has it's cons - catching weird odd viruses. Last night I was playing DOA 5 when my throat started to feel itchy, it just suddenly hit me and I thought "well shit..." so I jumped in bed, read a few articles and noticed my throat was getting worse, I somehow fell asleep and woke up again at a later point with the worst feeling throat, to the point where I couldn't swallow easily. So fuck it, got up and grab a few painkillers and slammed them down and slept.

Woke up feeling exactly the same no change in health other than my throat feeling the same (so that's a good thing so far). Headed down to see the doctor and it turns out I have a throat infection :(, so from now on, I'll cosplay as someone with a mouth mask or something :p

I'm now only hoping that I have a throat infection and that's it, nothing more, nothing less - the drugs will work that way. Sore throats are so annoying -_-

Apart from that, I have a few tools arriving to fix my XBOX 1.6 up - hopefully this infection leaves so I can make a video of it. :)

[NINTENDO64] Super Mario 64 signed by Charles Martinet at Armageddon!!

Hi gamers and certainly the collectors one this one!

Today AniNE tagged along with me to Armageddon Expo in Melbourne, by far it was the best con I've been to in a while. As soon as we got into the hall, we looked around at some of the stalls, if not all of them later on - we both bought guns :p. Anyhow, when we got there we straight away lined up to meet Charles - I actually couldn't believe he was there! Even though I planned to see him, it's weird to actually see someone you only see images and videos of on the Internet in real life. I'm sure anybody who's met their star will understand where I'm coming from. Anyway, I brought along two games until I saw the sign (1 signature), I put away Super Mario Sunshine, and took out Super Mario 64 the first game his voice appeared in - couldn't get better I think! My friend got his copy of Mario Kart 64 signed as well, which you can see in the video...

Needed to be watermarked, don't want le scammers scamin'
You can check out the video of myself and my friend meeting Charles and Sandy Fox here.

There is a chance I'll be at Armageddon tomorrow as well - I happened to miss out on meeting and seeing the queen of cosplay 'Yaya Han' - due to her flight being delayed, she only got to Melbourne around 4pm or so, which was just way too late for me to be in the city for...

On the topic of cosplay, there was some amazing ones! So many beautiful and talented cosplayers this year, which also made my day, the best in a long time. I share only a few of my favourites I saw, the camera's settings were not right and also my friend switched the profile by accident, which is why you'll see the widescreen blur fix :/

Harley Quinn Armageddon 2012 Cosplay
A rocking Harley Quinn Cosplay. My favourite of the day, also a very friendly lady too. Thank you :)
Sailor Moon Cosplay Armageddon 2012
Cutest Sailor Moon ever?!?! Nice work ;)
Tifa Lockhart Armageddon 2012 cosplay
A very stunning Tifa, I had to stop while she was entering :p. Thanks for the very nice pose ^_^
An amazing day, and had soooo much fun! Thanks An!NE for tagging along!

[PLAYSTATION3] I'm Hooked on Dead or Alive 5!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Recently I've been hooked on Dead or Alive 5, just to let you know I'm not dead :p... I tried so hard to unlock Alpha-152, which is where most of my time has ended up. Many of you who play DOA 5 will know how lengthy and time consuming gaining 300 titles really is. Once you have Alpha-152, it's a great sense of accomplishment.

I haven't touched online play until I unlocked Alpha-152, well that's not completely true - I played online like 3 times and that was it. I had my heart set to get those 300 titles, if you haven't unlocked Alpha-152 you maybe wondering how did I gain 300 titles? Well it's rather time consuming that's for sure, it was number crunching at best, finding out what titles were quicker to obtain than others and working from there.
You'll want to gain every move set for every character you can do, spend hours figuring out how to do the moves, a button-masher like myself it was very difficult to time certain moves but I got there in the end. It's all about patients to gain all those titles for training. You'll want to look through your misson list and see what titles you'd personally be able to obtain, I for one and will be honest here, can't finish survival on Hard EVEN with Alpha-152. It seems the AI just rip me apart by the 8th rival, just what the hell? On the topic of survival I believe for Christie's "rare" swimsuit you need to complete survival on legend for the swimsuit? No way I'd be able to pull that one off, I'm not too sure why some low-rank players (F+-E-) cannot defeat me playing as Alpha-152 online, but can beat 100 Legend rivals on survival without losing once!? Something is surely not right there...

So yes, I'll certainly share what titles were easy to obtain in a YouTube video shortly!

If you haven't got Dead or Alive 5, and you loving fighting games grab it! It's not all about the women any more in this game, really the fighting engine here is true, and works perfectly! I wouldn't be hooked on a genre I don't usually play if it wasn't the case. Everyone who knows me, knows I used to play blur all the time on the PS3, and that's the only game I'd play - now that's DOA5!

[XBOX] Brute Force has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back. Short entry here... The final game out of the rather large horde last week was Brute Force, not a rare title but finally managed to grab a copy. Don't know all too much about this game, but what I do know is that it came as a bundle with the 'Beast' package, which had Midtown Madness 3 and an Japanese Type-S controller (really looking for those at the moment).

Condition! Perfect, really is perfect or the correct term "like new". Manual and DVD are in excellent shape!

That's all it for me!

More games to come, see you there!

[XBOX] Colin McRae Rally 3 has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back. Later last week I headed down to another Cash Converters store to see what XBOX games they had, surprisingly enough after throwing 99% of the classic titles out the way I spotted CMR 3! I saw the price tag and shit... $4. Now on the world of eBay the only ones I can find are either without a manual or a classics version for $10!, yucky! So without a doubt I picked this one up. With a few others that just were not complete and some even had swapped discs, how about that?

Condition! Better than the rest I've seen and black label. What more could I ask for? Oh I almost forgot -- The manual and DVD are great condition =^^=.

This was the best rally game for the time, and to me it still is. Codemasters worked super hard on this one! The detail is great and I'm sure the hardware was pushed hard for the amount of detail it had. The game has great extras which included the making of, with some XDK and TOOL porn for collectors out there :P. Certainly if you haven't already, get it or grab a hold of this game, you'll know what I'm talking about.

More games to come, see you there!

[XBOX] RPM Tuning has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back. Another game I ended up picking up was RPM Tuning. I'm sure many of you would of seen this game hanging around stores, while you owned your XBOX in it's prime time - or if you owned a Playstation 2 it was on there as well. So when this game arrived I noticed the case was crushed, but not to worry I've been sent out another one, the seller is beginning to know me as I buy so frequently from her... I quickly place the game into my XBOX and launched it, just to check if it works obviously. As most games do they display the companies behind it's release, Kemco popped up... I thought "huh!?", no where on the cover does it mention Kemco, let alone on the back or the DVD... The hell? Anyway, when the loading screen showed up the familiar "TOP GEAR" title showed above the "RPM Tuning" logo. In other words, this is a sequel to the Top Gear series Kemco have been releasing since the Nintendo 64 - I'm sure many of you are familiar with "Top Gear Overdrive" and "Top Gear Rally" right? Well be damned, cause this is a sequel boys and girls. So I was motivated to give this game a shot, this was clearly a swipe at the "Need for Speed: Underground" franchise, ever since Underground so many illegal street racing games started popping up frequently, for instance SRS: Street Racing Syndicate, Midnight Club and so on.

Top Gear: RPM Tuning is an alright game, unlicensed cars with familiar body shapes, if not identical. This is common for Kemco, usually they name their cars "Type-M3" - BMW M3, "Type-LD" - Lancia Delta, "Type CE" - Celica, I guess you understand the pattern there... In RPM Tuning they decided not to at all, and really they should of stuck with the "Type" naming convention but oh well...
The game overall is pretty solid, good handling, lots of customization, alright damage and career mode. Bad cut scenes, REALLY could of done without them.

Condition! Apart from what I mentioned above, the contents are rather good. DVD seems unmarked and manual is in great shape. Just waiting on the "new" case to arrive.

More games to come, see you there!
