[XBOX] Halo 2 Limited Collector's Edition has Arrived!!

Welcome back gamers and collectors!

To yet another addition to my XBOX collection, and here I have Halo 2 Limited Collector's Edition. I managed to grab this along with the High Performance Pack I got last weekend. If you've missed that you can check it out on the XBOX Wiki here. This is by far one of the nicest steelbooks I've seen in a while, I'm not that much of a fan of Halo just let me get that out there.

It's quite difficult to grab this edition with the slipcover and without any rust spots. If you saw my unboxing of the High Performance Pack, I mentioned the system looks hardly used. The games were the same, and I'm happy I grabbed the bundle quickly, has this collector's edition of Halo 2 can reach around $40-$50 EVEN with the slipcover missing. So what's this edition have?

This edition comes with basically just a DVD with some Halo 2 extras.

[XBOX] Conker Reloaded 1 of 4 XBOX sold on eBay for $610!

Welcome back, yeah, yeah I didn't win the auction... From the feedback I got after posting it on the ASSEMblergames forums, it just doesn't sound like it's worth the $610 - of course that's all a matter of opinion.

 I was wanting this system quite bad, there are only 4 ever made, hence the price I guess. But my limit was $250. Besides most airbrushed XBOXs are not that great looking, even the DOA:XBV one doesn't look that sweet and there are 20 of those. Any how, another time and another day... I possibly won't see one until I'm 40...Which is 20 years away, AHHHHHH!!!!

[DCCOVERGIRLS] Power Girl Statue Arrived!!

Well it's been a while but the long search has ended, I finally own a Power Girl Statue... I KNOW!! So on Saturday I took a trip down to All-Star Comics in Melbourne and checked out the store, I was in there for a solid 2 hours just looking at everything they had - I easily could of spend more than 2 hours in there anyhow, I spotted Power Girl in the cabinet, originally I thought it was for sale (they have plenty of rare collectables in store that are NFS) but I saw a price and I just had to get it! After I got home I quickly jumped on my PC and typed out an email asking for the staff to hold the item.
Met up with my friend at the train station and off we went to the store! I then spoke to the owner of the store and Power Girl was mine :P. Overall ASC are great, and even the owner was careful on how the sticker was taken off the box - This is a serious collector's store collectors :) anyway enough rambling from me, let's take a look at the statue.

Oh she's huge... she's also very tall :P -- So the statue is made of porcelain, which is why I took a lot of care taking it home I live about an hour away from the city by transport but all worked out in the end =^^=

In great light *uhhm* not in this picture but, the paintwork is amazing for some reason or another I was expecting it to be a little sloppy in a few places however I was indeed very wrong. In every place, and every angle this statue is ace!

I'll let you guys and gals be the judge, but for me this is the best looking statue I own of the DC Universe :D

Refrain Love (Anata ni Aitai) and Pia Carrot he Youkoso!! (Shokai Genteiban) Arrived!

Here are the two SEGA Saturn games I ordered last month (yeah, last month -_-), they're both dating simulators just like Angel Graffiti S and Virtua Call S which arrived last few month as well. I bought these games for various reasons. Like I mentioned with Angel Graffiti S I love old style anime and both these games fit that perfectly, in fact many dating simulators are anime based, can you believe that?

Refrain Love comes with two CDs and a Heart Shaped Audio CD with 4 tracks from the game. The CD can be played on your Saturn as well, that's pretty cool! You're probably wondering how does the CD work exactly as it's not round, as long as you play this in a top loading system it will work. Put this in a slot loader and it will eat it, it really will!
A great plus which wasn't mentioned by the seller, this CD is still sealed! Made my eyes water :P

Pia Carrot is a game that was released on many systems back in the day PC-FX, PC-Engine, and the Saturn it's self. This game was one of the reasons why I wanted to import a PC-FX, but after many discussions with previous owners, the PC-FX is a system that's for collectors sake as there is only 60 games I think for the system it is also pointless if you don't understand Japanese.

Watermelon Red (Clear Red) Nintendo 64 [Video]

This morning I stepped on another box while going to my study, so I went back in side quickly and cut the box open. As promised, a very nice looking Watermelon Red Nintendo 64 was added to my collection ^_^

King of Fighters: Collector's Edition Arrived today!!

Hi gamers!

Another great auction won, with King of Fighters: Collector's Edition. I'm quite stunned I got this for $7.50! Best buy yet I reckon, I should mention it was a last minute bid too ROFL.

It comes complete with both discs, slip cover and art book I don't know if you can call it an art book but it shows some renders so I'd call it an artbook. ;) The condition is just amazing, I bought this from a collector the case and box doesn't have one scratch on it! This just has to be the best auction won for me so far! ^_^

Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary 3DS has vanished from EB Games!

Sadly the 4 EB Stores I've been to, have taken all Zelda 3DS Consoles off the shelf, resulting in Red,Blue,Black or Pink left. I think it's quite a coincidence that since the Nintendo 3DS Price drop has happened. They're now $194, the Limited edition has now vanished.. Don't forget EB was selling the that edition for $248 around Christmas time, that's $35 more than the standard editions. See here - I made a whole blog post about it.

Search results on EB Games website for "Zelda 3DS"

The Limited edition was seen on the EB Games web store earlier last week, customers were never notified it was a limited time offer. EB Games just don't seem to understand he word 'Limited', for example the White Playstation 3 Limited Edition is still being sold at their stores, so why has the Zelda 3DS vanished?

I personally feel that the limited edition didn't really have much shelf life, maybe in other countries but surely the Australian edition maybe quite rare in the future. Who knows what this means, we might see this back on the shelf if the 3DS ever has a price rise, but I highly doubt it.

eBay stores alike will now be taking advantage of the Limited Edition in Australia. As mentioned before I'm only aware of how Australian stores are, so it maybe still available in the US.

Even more Bayonetta news + A message to my readers!

Hi gamers!

This week just got better, not only it's the weekend and I got my refund but Bayonetta Climax Edition got posted on Friday!! So it should be here next week no problems, I really can't wait for this my second limited edition and I mean limited. As usual I'll make an entry when it arrives, but I'm really excited I just hope it wont be a disappointment. With the way the Australia post is with items, I messaged the seller to say pack it extremely well as there are not much around!!

So there you have it, on going news about one of 1,500 arriving in my collection.. It will also look so awesome in my new room (when I renovate it I should say, so I have more room for my stuff) in a class cabinet for all rare and limited items :D pictures of that in a few months, sadly. Please stay tuned as I have other gaming news to post tomorrow :)

I'll also take this chance to again thank all my readers, I got a lot of reputation in the last 2 weeks! Over 200 views a week! I'll try my best to keep my news closely into rare games, and systems, of course I can only afford so much as I'm currently studying and don't have a job :( but I'll do my best!

Batman Arkham City collector's edition. US vs EUROPE Taboo.

Today was the day that many Batman fans have been waiting for, everyone who pre-ordered the collectors edition went home without the animation DVD that was included in the US release, but not anywhere else. The empty space under the statue of Batman was for the animation DVD. Many european buyers were puzzled when they opened the draw and found nothing. Along with a download code for the soundtrack, not a physical copy. This is rather beyond me, it's the same price as the US release (ignoring exchange rate), yet the extra CD and DVD were left out they could of at least include a download code for the movie as well, nah that was the right thing to do. Instead they give the European players extra DLC skins, ohhh how collectable are those!

Even though the collector's edition is rather detailed and pretty damn awesome, the cost cut was rude towards the European buyers especially if they wanted the animation DVD and a physical soundtrack. Usually that's the point of a collector's edition, is the physical stuff that it comes with, and not just pieces of paper with codes on them. It's pretty debatable to say the European players were completely disappointed as the statue looks great, and the box for the lot is very well presented. I can surely say, I'd be pretty neutral... if it was a neutral price.

This edition got released here in Australia with the statue, but I'm not aware if it included a physical copy of the soundtrack or not. Which is very confusing as Australia gets European releases usually, some stores are offering the import which happens to be the US version I couldn't say the game is region free. Another thing to add to the crap factor this whole epic edition with the awesome box is that it doesn't even include a case for the game nor a manual. What you do get is a art book and at the end of that art book is a DVD tray, who designed this? Have it separate, so collector's can have the game on the shelf!

I won't go too far into detail about the inconvenience about this edition, as some fans will agree and disagree about the points I make here. Overall the edition is rather cool and interesting, the art book and the statue is what you're really paying for. Consider the game as a throw in extra.

More Bayonetta News!!

Hello gamers, once again!

Last night I made an amazing discovery on eBay, no I didn't buy a Biohazard Code Veronica Dreamcast, or a working Atari Jaguar CD but I did manage to grab a Bayonetta Climax Edition complete with famous pre-order only bonus gun. Not only did I manage to actually get a hold of one, but the amount of money I spent on it is a miracle.

I got this for $70AUD, I'm dead serious! However it came without the game, but the game it's self is selling in stores for about roughly $20AUD, the good thing is it came with the sleeve for the game to slip into I also have the game by it's self so now this will be a complete item once it arrives, how cool is that?

After doing more research, SEGA says it's strictly limited and only 1,500 units. The UK, Australia and New Zeeland got the pre-order bonus however the UK got a plain white box, as a posed to the NZ and Australian release got printed box. The item I bought is the one with the printed artwork, awesome!
With the gun being strictly limited, brand new in the box it fetches $400+ -- wow. So the item even being opened like the one I'll be receiving would be worth just as much or a little less, I could possibly place $350 as it's value.

The seller possibly just didn't know what they had, or wanted a quick sale. Miracles do happen and many collectors pick up the rarest things for very small amounts of money from time to time. So finally it's happened to me and hope it happens again another time, because damn it's awesome :D

This item will be included in my next collecting video, as I've been a little tight on money recently it might be rather short.
