[OFFTOPIC] Waahhh I'm Sick!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back, so going to a convention has it's cons - catching weird odd viruses. Last night I was playing DOA 5 when my throat started to feel itchy, it just suddenly hit me and I thought "well shit..." so I jumped in bed, read a few articles and noticed my throat was getting worse, I somehow fell asleep and woke up again at a later point with the worst feeling throat, to the point where I couldn't swallow easily. So fuck it, got up and grab a few painkillers and slammed them down and slept.

Woke up feeling exactly the same no change in health other than my throat feeling the same (so that's a good thing so far). Headed down to see the doctor and it turns out I have a throat infection :(, so from now on, I'll cosplay as someone with a mouth mask or something :p

I'm now only hoping that I have a throat infection and that's it, nothing more, nothing less - the drugs will work that way. Sore throats are so annoying -_-

Apart from that, I have a few tools arriving to fix my XBOX 1.6 up - hopefully this infection leaves so I can make a video of it. :)

I don't hate modern gaming, just isn't that unique any more.

Hi gamers!

Many discussions this week about modern gaming, I've had a few comments on YouTube, forums, Facebook, Twitter and Steam about modern gaming and what I think about them.
As much as I love gaming inside and out, there are many aspects I look into when I see or play them. I used to do this when I was kid with the Nintendo 64 and Playstation, and I do this now with the Wii, XBOX 360 and Playstation 3.
With those consoles in mind, think about how the Nintendo 64's and Playstation games looked, and now how the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 games look. There isn't any uniqueness any more, you really have to look hard to find the differences now, not that this effects the average gamer, but it effects me, and a few others have notice this small difference problem too. It was good to have different graphics styles, every game gets a cross platform release, same price, same game, just different button mapping.

"Nintendo 64 Smooth graphics, bright colours Playstation - Choppy graphics, awesome sound"

Although to you this may not seem like a bad thing (which it's not), it just makes gaming today a lot less interesting. I haven't been that impressed with games in this generation as much as I was impressed with games even in the previous generation, let alone the generation beforehand. I used to look at a Playstation 2 game and think "wow, look at the lighting here!" then look at an XBOX game and be even more amazed. Now you can barely tell the difference what the game is running on...

Notice where I'm coming from?

I love Fighters, and Arcades racers the most, and a handful of RPGs. Arcade racers today just don't really work and the only one I've enjoyed is Blur (if you haven't noticed), of course I've liked Ridge Racer 7 and 3D blah blah, but I don't feel excited about playing them as I do say Destruction Derby 64, SF Rush, Super Mario Kart and so on, those are way more memorable than today's library.

I'd never quit modern gaming, although next generation doesn't look so bright (early to say?) but that's all matter of personal opinion. Though many gamers I've spoken to have thought about quitting modern gaming altogether as they were failed to be impressed by the favourite companies, which is quite sad.

With having said that, I am looking forward to a few sequels that may impress me or may disappoint me. I've mentioned some where the games I'm looking forward to, and I don't see the need to repeat that.
No need to get choppy about this, this my opinion on the matter, and just play what you enjoy! As a retro gamer maybe I just find it hard to move on.

Updates, I haz dem! Upcoming videos, life and other stuffs :>

Hi gamers *cough, cough*

I can only start this entry negatively, I've caught a bad dose of the flu virus which is only going prolong my production time for my new videos which I had planned. 1 of them will include having to act (kinda) but of course I don't want to sound horrible, which right now I just got my voice back but still have trouble breathing.
My other video would still require me to talk so that's also going to be delayed :(.

You maybe wondering what the hell am I thinking of, well even though my gaming channel is mainly for reviews and my collection, I thought I'd take a break from all seriousness and do a short funny video, not sure how funny it will be but we'll see ^^.
I got the idea for this from a new friend of mine. She was telling me about raging in games, I can't say exactly what she said otherwise it'd ruin the video, ROFL.

In terms of my collection, it's moving along quite steady a few more games coming in soon, just currently in postage and payments :> so some more collection videos soon as well, I haven't forgotten.

While still on the topic of my videos, the Goldeneye Speccy video has really gotten some attention, and even the original discoverer had a say in the comments, also one of Ashens's best friend Larry commented I was truely stunned! More videos similar to that will be coming as well, I've got a lot of content listed in my mind so hopefully it will get similar popularity.

For those of you know know me well from ASSEMbler forums would of seen my moving countries experience thread. I question what the process is like and what not. It does sound like a lot of organizing and hassles. Still there is a lot I want while wanting to move to the USA, even though purely it's for collecting and job purposes I also have a lot of personal things and goals to complete over there.

Wanted list now live!

Hi gamers!

Yep, I've had a list of stuff I wanted for a long time ever since the start of this year. Can you believe it's a year old already!? Well if you haven't noticed there is now a new tab above "Wanted List" if you clicky that a list will appear of everything I'm currently stabbing at trying to find. The list is actually not 100% finished, but I'm half asleep right now so I thought I'd at least get half done for now.

Anyhow, that's about it now and I hope you all had a great new years!

Dead or Alive Dimensions Ordered + Future Blog News

Hi gamers!

Yesterday I jumped on eBay looking for Dead or Alive Dimensions, weird thing is this game pre-owned goes for about $50 in stores and I still believe that's too much for this game it's been out for a while now, it's not even a first party game.

I manage to find a brand-new copy of the game for $33, much better than a $50 pre-owned copy. :)
With all the Christmas rush, I doubt I'd see this before Christmas but hopefully I do I mean it's possible right?

Now onto news of my blog, not much will change here don't worry but on my YouTube channel it will. I have been thinking of starting a brand-new channel that has only strictly video game collecting, as my current channel has random stuff now and then. This will mean I'll be doing V-Logs of my setup and collection talking about what ever is on my mind with my collection. It won't have any fancy editing or anything of that nature just pure raw V-logging, it's how I've seen many people showing their collection and it seems to be quite popular with collectors a-like.

In order to do all this, I'll need to make announcements here and on my current YouTube channel to keep most of my subscribers. I will not be deleting my current channel so all the old videos will remain there as long as they can, weirdly enough most of my old videos have the most hits..

Anyway, that pretty much sums everything up for the new YouTube channel, expect to see it in a few months or maybe eariler. I was hoping to start it this week but at the moment I've caught the flu and I don't really feel comfortable being in front of the camera.

HeXiGON RELOAD! Is now affiliated with Haunted

Hi gamers!

Short news today:

If you haven't checked my friends page, you would not have noticed that my blog has been affiliated with Haunted360's website.
Haunted is a Australian that mods consoles to the extreme, and sometimes makes portable versions of home consoles.

I know this isn't really much gaming news, but nothing really happened today. Found nothing in stores :(
Don't fear, there will be more content tomorrow for sure.
