[XBOX] Angelic Concert has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back to yet another addition to my XBOX collection, and here I have Angelic Concert. I'll get out the way that I don't understand the game, there's very little amount of English in this game - the prologue went for quite some time and didn't know how to get into the gameplay side of things, but I do have some points to get across. This was 1 of 22 games that came in the package along with my Smoke Black XBOX.

The game comes in very sweet looking box, and I mean really sweet it looks like a candy box. I really love Japanese Exclusive games they always look 100% better than any release we get over here, and you'll know why in just a second.

As soon as you open the box the game sits inside, pop open the case you'll see an Audio disc and obviously behind the CD is the game. I'm not too sure what's on the CD I plan to pop it into the PC to check soon, I doubt it's the soundtrack as you get a Jewel Cased copy of the soundtrack in the box...

And here is the soundtrack, it's still sealed and I think it comes in one of those adhesive bags. I didn't want to force the plastic in case I tear it, I won't forgive my self for that lol.

In terms of the gameplay from what I could understand and get to, it's like a virtual novel. Where you have simple animations and different paths to choose along with some mini-games or in this case concerts. Very nice looking animations, cute characters and voices. It's a shame that this game isn't 720p, it'd simply look gorgeous! 

It's games like this that make me want to study Japanese, you know I really wouldn't mind learning it.

[XBOX] Limited Edition Controller S has Arrived!!

Welcome back to yet another addition to my XBOX collection, today I'll be talking about the Limited Edition Controller S. So just by looking at the controller alone, it's nothing quite noticeable that screams "Limited Edition!" however, there are a few differences compared to the normal controller S that was sold.

First off the jewel is a bright green, much like the jewel on the XBOX it's self - it's just a little lighter, I guess you could say it's the same green as the DVT-4's jewel...

Another difference is the cable, yeah even the cable is different. Usually the Controller S has a solid black cable, instead the limited edition has a green cable, much like the original duke controllers, and the standard controller S break-away. Uh, excuse the dust XD.

There's still a few differences left to mention, you'll notice the face buttons "A, B, X, Y" are much lighter in colour and don't have anything inside them like the buttons we're used to. Instead the labels are engraved.

The last difference to note - On the back of the controller here, you'll see the label doesn't mention what controller it is. Usually it says on the regular controller s "xbox controller s" along with the Microsoft corp and part number. The limited edition controller just plainly says "xbox game controller", thanks didn't know that! :p. Also lacking the label on the right side of the part number label.

For any Japanese XBOX collectors, will think this is just a standard Japan release controller S. In fact this controller was sold here in Australia too. It wasn't sold separately, instead was included in the "The Beast Entertainment Pack" along with Midtown Madness 3 and Brute Force. Which explains why you see so many "Not for Resale" copies of Midtown Madness 3.

Refrain Love (Anata ni Aitai) and Pia Carrot he Youkoso!! (Shokai Genteiban) Arrived!

Hi gamers!

Here are the two SEGA Saturn games I ordered last month (yeah, last month -_-), they're both dating simulators just like Angel Graffiti S and Virtua Call S which arrived last few month as well. I bought these games for various reasons. Like I mentioned with Angel Graffiti S I love old style anime and both these games fit that perfectly, in fact many dating simulators are anime based, can you believe that?

Refrain Love comes with two CDs and a Heart Shaped Audio CD with 4 tracks from the game. The CD can be played on your Saturn as well, that's pretty cool! You're probably wondering how does the CD work exactly as it's not round, as long as you play this in a top loading system it will work. Put this in a slot loader and it will eat it, it really will!
A great plus which wasn't mentioned by the seller, this CD is still sealed! Made my eyes water :P

Pia Carrot is a game that was released on many systems back in the day PC-FX, PC-Engine, and the Saturn it's self. This game was one of the reasons why I wanted to import a PC-FX, but after many discussions with previous owners, the PC-FX is a system that's for collectors sake as there is only 60 games I think for the system it is also pointless if you don't understand Japanese.

Watermelon Red (Clear Red) Nintendo 64 [Video]

This morning I stepped on another box while going to my study, so I went back in side quickly and cut the box open. As promised, a very nice looking Watermelon Red Nintendo 64 was added to my collection ^_^

Nintendo 3DS Circle Pad Accessory battery life and price revealed!

Hi gamers!

The odd looking 2nd circle pad battery life has been revealed! posted on Eurogamer via Andriasang, he/she says the accessory has 480 hours of battery life by a single AAA battery.

Battery life for this accessory is far more longer than the 3DS Li-On battery it's self. Of course this accessory doesn't have to power a graphics, processor and 3D screen etc.

Not only does this accessory give you another Circle Pad, it also features replacement shoulder buttons L + R and two triggers (LT + RT)

Price is estimated at 1,500 JPY, which translates to a fair $18 AU.

The slider pad will be on sale in Japan alongside Monster Hunter Tri G and launches 27th of January in Europe with Resident Evil: Revelations.

SEGA Mega Drive Asian PAL - Some are shady jobs!

Today, I jumped on YouTube to check my status of my videos which most of us do. Anyway as I was looking through my subscriptions I noticed a restoration video of the MegaDrive. Through out the video TheDamoMonster was restoring the MegaDrive to it's original NTSC-J state, he explained the story behind the Asian PAL systems. What would of happened back in the day is people from Hong Kong would order a Japanese MegaDrive and convert it to PAL and then sell them as PAL versions with just a few cut traces and a modulator. By the looks of the mod it was horrible, everything was lose, and just crappy cut in the case with a cable sticking out, you can learn more about the restoration in Damo's video here.

After watching the video, I checked my MegaDrive (when I bought this I was told it could play PAL, NTSC-J and NTSC-U in laymen's terms it was region free). Flipped over the system and saw on the sticker "PAL-I", there are no modifications from what I can see and nothing lose like as mentioned in Damo's video. Many gamers are confused when they see a Japanese MegaDrive, there are actually to versions (no I'm talking about the Megadrive 2 and 3) one was ONLY sold in Japan and there was also a model that was sold in Japan, Taiwan and Philippines. The model that had labelled "For sale in Japan, Taiwan and Philippines" is the Asian PAL-I system, and vice versa.

A very easy way to find the difference is either on the box or at the bottom of the system where the sticker is located.
