[COMIC] Power Girl #7 has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back to yet another addition to my comic collection, and here I have issue #7 of the Power Girl series. Found this issue when I headed out for the game hunt on Thursday. I usually go to both comic stores, I happen to find #7 at Comics 'R' Us. Great little store, and for some reason I always have trouble finding Power Girl, I had to ask the second time while I was there, damn.

This issue is titled "Lust in Space" that Zangief looking guy who refers to himself in 3rd person every time,  has the hots for Power Girl. Honestly, I can say he picks the right women. Even I have the hots for Power Girl... Anyway moving on. While Vartox and Power Girl start smashing up the enemies they encounter there's a lot of flirty annotations happening during the action.

While flicking through the comic to check the condition, I turned over the last page to find a sick Bayonetta advert.

That's all for me, more games to arrive during the week. See you there :)

[COMIC] Power Girl #2 has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back to yet another addition to my comic collection, and here I have Power Girl #2. Many comic stores locally don't have many back issues of Power Girl. Very rarely they'll have some early issues and then jump to issue 20 and onwards, I was starting to have a nerd fit about it since all I want is issue #1 to start reading these physically. If you were wondering yes I read them digitally on my tablet, but it's not the same and also isn't the most comfortable way to read. I prefer having the comic book in my hands, laying down with a drink beside next to the lamp relaxing to a comic and not a heavy tablet having to pitch zoom all the time. I am that little closer to issue #1 as I finally found #2 yesterday while game hunting.

I found #2 at Collector's Edge in Melbourne not so far from the mall. Great place for hard to find issues, however I do have a bit of a hitch with the place. Store owners are friendly but not so talkative and rarely have had a conversation with them yet, they are helpful though and will answer any questions. Being fairly new to comic collecting I'm usually lost in these stores, I'll get a hang of it eventually though haha.

In all honesty I have to read #2 again, I can't remember too much about the story here. The most I can remember is the weird human/monkey is trying to steal Power Girl's brain lol.

I do enjoy all of the Power Girl series Amanda Conner had to do with, her art is amazing!! The transitions of artists can really impact the comic and I'm not really keen on the later issues but I'll still collect for because it's Power Girl.

Well that's about it for me at this stage, more comics and games coming during the week, see you there!

[COMIC] Power Girl #6 has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back to yet another addition to my comic collection, and here I have Power Girl issue #6. I bet the cover to this one seems rather familiar to you, even if you don't follow Power Girl. Look to the right where you're reading ;).

By far this is my favourite issue out of them all, lots of funny moments with lots of action mashed into it. It's fair to say this is the best cover for all issues that Amanda Conner was behind, Kara looks amazing! Why else would it be my blog feature?

I know I'm a little short on words with this post - just because I'm so nervous about Thursday and excited about it at the same time. There's a chance that my mystery (that's a mystery for you, and not me :p) awesome XBOX will arrive, and I have a professional job interview in the morning. So much stuff happening, my brain is overloading with mixed emotions.

[COMIC] Power Girl #5 has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back to another addition to my comic collection and here I have Power Girl issue #5. By issue 4 I believe the story starts to become interesting, you learn about Power Girl's juggle with her business and being Power Girl at the same time. Issue 4 continues into issue 5, so you don't really know what the problem is during issue 4, which I guess at the time of print this would of been annoying - maybe it's just me but I hate cliff hangers.

Power Girl has now been printed in novel form so I guess this problem doesn't really matter now. I wouldn't mind owning the graphic novel, but I much rather the individual comics for the cover art and collection purposes.

Like I said previously on the issue #4 blog, I love Amanda Conner's art. The look Power Girl gives in this issue are priceless :).

More games and comics coming during the week. See you there!

[COMIC] Power Girl #4 has Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors

Welcome back to another addition to my comic collection, here I have Power Girl #4. Firstly don't stress or think I've gone off game collecting let alone XBOX collecting, that won't happen at all, possibly never will unless I run out of money hahah. I do actually have quite a few XBOX items currently in shipment and should be here sometime next week, and yep they're quite special - Anyway I'm getting off track, Power Girl. So one of the other issues I wound up getting was issue #4, I've read all Power Girl comics Amanda Conner did the art for, and personally I think she draws the best Power Girl ever, second to Adam Hughes. That's right, a woman drew Power Girl since the beginning so many friends of mine think I just like Kara Zor -El for her chest LOL. Well that's understandable but I'm more complicated than that, but I will admit it's ONE of the qualities and not the only quality, come on! I'm a single male what else do you expect?

Power Girl is a rather comical story than anything serious. It's really funny when people in Gotham try to ask her out on a date. I find it pretty odd that no one recognises her in public as she doesn't wear a mask or hair style unless she's at work, I mean her other work, while in costume no thinks says she's Karen... I guess it's the same for all super heroes in Gotham, Birds of Prey are the same.

More comics and XBOX stuff coming during the week. See you there!

[COMIC] Power Girl #3 has Arrived!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back to a new addition to a new collection, that's right I'm now also branching off into comics. It was probably obvious by the style of my header and blog background though. This collection has started since yesterday, walking around the city and checked out a new comic store in Swanston Street "Comics 'R' Us". Seems to be ran by just two awesome guys, who are very helpful, as I spend possibly 30 minutes trying to find Power Girl comics - but I was enjoying looking at all the other comics they had!

All comics at the store were boarded and bagged which is great for the travel home and storage purposes. It keeps the dust of the pages too and reduces yellowing. Most comics in the store though were rather dusty for the previous issues, lol my finger tips were black XD. I can spend hours and hours in comic stores I just have so much fun in them it's indescribable.

Every single issue I bought that day were in collectable condition, I totally recommend the store to any one who isn't aware of it. Also a lot easier to find, right next door to a panty shop. I'm not kidding.

So with the mixture of XBOX additions and Comics, this should be fine as I don't see the need to make two separate blogs.

[DCCOVERGIRLS] Power Girl Statue Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Well it's been a while but the long search has ended, I finally own a Power Girl Statue... I KNOW!! So on Saturday I took a trip down to All-Star Comics in Melbourne and checked out the store, I was in there for a solid 2 hours just looking at everything they had - I easily could of spend more than 2 hours in there anyhow, I spotted Power Girl in the cabinet, originally I thought it was for sale (they have plenty of rare collectables in store that are NFS) but I saw a price and I just had to get it! After I got home I quickly jumped on my PC and typed out an email asking for the staff to hold the item.
Met up with my friend at the train station and off we went to the store! I then spoke to the owner of the store and Power Girl was mine :P. Overall ASC are great, and even the owner was careful on how the sticker was taken off the box - This is a serious collector's store collectors :) anyway enough rambling from me, let's take a look at the statue.

Oh she's huge... she's also very tall :P -- So the statue is made of porcelain, which is why I took a lot of care taking it home I live about an hour away from the city by transport but all worked out in the end =^^=

In great light *uhhm* not in this picture but, the paintwork is amazing for some reason or another I was expecting it to be a little sloppy in a few places however I was indeed very wrong. In every place, and every angle this statue is ace!

I'll let you guys and gals be the judge, but for me this is the best looking statue I own of the DC Universe :D

More stuff arrive in the coming days, see you there!

[XBOX] Catwoman Arrived!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Like I mentioned in my Stolen entry, I've bought many other XBOX games last week, I've been finding some really well priced games lately and coming at the time of having enough money means I can buy them all ^^.

Catwoman arrived, as usual I checked it's condition over. Everything is in great condition from the case to the DVD. No label damage like Stolen and the booklet was really neat, but I'm guessing there is a good reason for it's great condition...

I tried playing this game and it...SUCKS. The camera movements are horrible and the controls are really weird. I always ask myself if there are any games made or based around a movie that are actually good? I'm unsure if the Catwoman game on the Gameboy Advance will be any better, it's still made by EA so I wonder... I've only seen the beta version of Catwoman on GBA so I can't say too much whether is bad or good.

More games to come, see you there!
