[XBOX] Need for Speed: Most Wanted has Arrived!!

Welcome back gamers and collectors,

To yet another addition to my XBOX collection, and here I have "Need for Speed: Most Wanted".
Before we get into the information about the title, I've seen time and time again that this goes for an insane amount of money (for the XBOX market). $15, $20. It's just not worth that much at all. It's a common title for one thing, and why do people want it so badly? I picked this for $4, and I'm dead fucking serious... Hell I thought $10 was pushing it...
Personally, I believe this is where Need for Speed started to slip but, that's not what we'll talk about right now, because this is about Most Wanted.

I played this first on the Playstation 2, for those who just went out bought a game from the store there was always the Black Edition beside this. Sold for nearly twice the price, you're better off with more affordable option. Since all Black Edition did was add a useless Camaro (which you can't use in story mode nor modify), 3 pissy vinyls and a whole loop of the town. Oh and the making of DVD included wasn't anything special really.

Even though this style of need for speed was new for the time (real life actors in a game environment in the story). It added a great story, before we had Underground and Underground 2 with animated scenes and yes I had the hots for Mia, who didn't? I think EA did a great job with styling of this. This being released on the most powerful console at the time, I didn't see much more detail at all. I also own this game on Windows and well I'd suggest you get it for Windows, a lot of mods, and you can drive traffic cars including the police vehicles.

Another interesting item that comes with the standard edition of Most Wanted for XBOX is that it comes with a teaser flyer for the game "Black".

More games to come during the week! See you there!!

[XBOX] 007: From Russia With Love Arrived!!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Firstly this entry is going to be rather short, I'm quite tired this afternoon -_- zzzz
The last game from the large parcel on Friday, 007: From Russia With Love arrived! I'm very close to owning all 007 titles for the XBOX and I'm only missing one title ^^. I never knew about this game while the XBOX was on the market, and that's probably because it wasn't the best Bond game released for the system, which we'll get to later.

Condition, bet you knew this was coming! It's overall in fantastic shape for it's age and box type. Booklet and DVD also get the thumbs up.

So back to where I mentioned this wasn't the best Bond game for the system. Allow me to explain. A few problems I encountered, one of them was the Framerate (FPS) just from experience I think the game in some areas drop to a low 15fps, when there isn't much detail around it feels 25-30fps which is rather poor for the system at the time, sure it's one of best looking 007 titles. However most games on the XBOX ran at 45-60fps, it probably doesn't help the game is 3rd person either. Which brings us to it's next problem, the 3rd person change. All Bond games you would of played previously were all First-Person Shooters, why this was the only 3rd person Bond game is completely beyond me and I just can't calculate it.
Now don't get me wrong, with those problems aside it's rather entertaining, and Sean Connery is my second favourite 007. It does make use of Connery marketing by including his voice, which is a rather good touch to the story. Guess I can't complain as I picked this one up for $3.75 :P

More games to come, see you there!

[XBOX] 007: Nightfire Arrived!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Like I said previously the parcel was pretty big, and here's another game! As I'm very close to completely every owning 007 game for the XBOX Library I couldn't go without bidding on Nightfire. The same price as GunValkyrie $3.50 it was yet another great buy.

Condition, condition, condition... This game had the yellow sticker from hell, just like GunValkyrie but not to fear good old oil got that shit off safely. I always worry with stickers on the disc, as it can rip or damage the label of the DVD. As I mentioned before those stickers, when left on for many years they grapple onto the surface. No shit this stuff can give super glue a run for it's money. However, all round case, DVD and manual are in top shape ^^

Nightfire has very in depth gameplay and it's so detailed! You have lots of Bond's gadgets to use during your missions. You end up using the DB9 quite a bit. Since it's a EA produced game they borrowed the NFSHP2 engine for the driving missions, and it's for the better. Generally driving missions in FPS games are butt ugly, but Nightfire does it rather smoothly. Great choice of weapons, and gadgets and really keeps you entertained.
Multiplayer is great as well, really reminds me of the days of Goldeneye on Nintendo 64 but nothing beats 007 on Nintendo 64.

While taking the images of the game, that woman's face scares the shit out of me. Just look at that stare.

lol.

More games to come. See you there!

EA has bought out PopCap Games

Hi gamers,

EA always have to stick their nose into other companies or just want to slap their logo on other's work. Anyway, they've seemed to have bought out PopCap. Now their terms of use is now all over PopCap's games, and user accounts.

I'll admit this doesn't really make me pull my hair out, but EA just need to stop buying companies out and changing games so much they're nothing like their counterparts! (Burnout series for example). Whether or not this is bad or good thing, we knew this was going to happen at some stage.

Battlefield 3 for PC has been cracked

Hi gamers,

For anyone who has played the BETA to Battlefield 3 would know the game doesn't have a menu.

I'm stunned to see the game cracked on release date, the game doesn't even require Origin.. this sort of reminds me of cracked Steam games that are used in Internet Cafes around Melbourne.

Many torrent sites are nearly on melt down, and it has amazing amount of seeds the comments are all about users yelling at others to seed, yep it's like the world is hungry on the pirate-ship.

I'm not telling people to go ahead and download it, what amazes me that the game is actually cracked ALREADY.

Anyway, the craze has just begun for Battlefield 3 it's out and nearly everyone I know is playing it. Stores are sold out around me. Looks like you did well DICE hooray! Your PC encryption team on the other hand are useless.

Need For Speed: The Run demo is horrible.

Hi gamers!

Well am I on fire or what, two posts in one day.. nah just kidding. Anyway, I just download the demo for 'The Run' and when I started it up I was greeted with breaking up music signed into my Autolog account and started the demo, intro starts and keeps skipping like a scratched DVD.

I tried both cars, the handling is a bit stupid and the overall gameplay feels.. just like any other recent Need For Speed (again going for realistic handing but unrealistic with N2O yeah go figure). But I'm a big fan of Arcade racers, and hate Simulation racing. There is just very little fun in this one, not much sense of speed, the AI are crap and the N2O is useless.

Some people maybe reading this and saying "You haven't given it a chance" well I'd love to but I can't do anything else than that one race after it crashes. It has nothing to do with my Playstation 3 either, it's only 5 days old. Besides, if you played the new Hot Pursuit it's very similar just with a worse camera. I prefer Hot Pursuit way more than this game, even though it handles a little worse, and looks the same. Let me tell you, it's nothing great.

After passing all 10 cars you have to pass the finish line then end of the race...cool. The game then loads, and that's it... it crashes. Good fucking demo! No "thanks for playing, in stores XX/XX/XX" what a waste of 1.2GB, save your time and download when they fix this... that's if they do.

After many resets later, I just uninstalled the demo. Sorry EA, but I pass out on this Need For Speed as well.
