[PLAYSTATION3] Dead or Alive 5 Collector's Edition has Arrived!

Hi gamers and collectors!

Welcome back! Today I sprung out of bed and rushed down to the mall to pick up Dead or Alive 5, and damn was EB Games busy today... Anyhow, in the end I walked out with DOA 5 =^^=. I made an unboxing video as well, be sure to check that out if you happened to miss out on the pre-order, but don't worry it's not THAT much, I flick through every page in the art book, and below you can see the poster it came with too.

In terms of the game it's self, it's Dead or Alive not too much different but updated graphics, new characters, costumes and levels. Annoyingly enough, right out of the box on launch day there was an update, something I was hoping wouldn't happen. Not too sure WHAT the update did exactly as there are numerous bugs at the moment, the most annoying one is when in Arcade mode the match will hang for a few seconds... Very, very annoying in a fast action fighting game if you ask me. This doesn't happen in other mode I've noticed...

The graphics are stunning, and sometimes I forget I'm playing in 720p (highest res). The amount of detail in the character's faces are very realistic. I'm glad Tecmo ditched the cutesy animated look for a more realistic tone, have the DOA girls never looked so sexy! Oh, I should add the swimsuit DLC was a nice addition ^_-

I'm still yet to continue through story mode, my controller died in game so now I'm waiting for it to charge and all my other controllers are dead too, sigh.

Well that's about it for me.
More games to come, see you there!

[PS3] Dead or Alive 5 Collector's Edition Pre-Ordered!

Hi gamers and collectors!

A very short story here. I took a trip up to the local mall to pre-order Dead or Alive 5 Collector's Edition. You'll be familiar with it if you follow Tecmo on Twitter or even be a member of their Facebook page, it's everywhere. It was priced at $110 ($108) in Australia, a little more expensive than the UK at $105.
Not too sure why Tecmo made the decision to only sell it at one chain of stores here, weirdly enough there are multiple choices in the UK and other countries. So by saying that the only place I could get it is from EB. Hmm...

It's been so long since I've pre-ordered a new release in Australia... I just hope Dead or Alive 5 will be worth it. I'm actually quite excited for it to tell the truth, I own every other DOA apart from Paradise (On my to get list!) this will be great for my collection!!
What actually enticed me to get this, is Sarah from Virtua Fighter is a playable character. She's like the Samus of SEGA lol. Anyway, that's enough rambling for me...
A lot more games currently in the shipping process, and will be here sometime this week. See you there!

Tecmo Releases Information for Collector's Edition of Dead or Alive 5!

Hi gamers!

A few hours ago Tecmo released some information about the collector's edition for Dead or Alive 5 on their Facebook and Twitter also they included the information on their official Dead or Alive 5 website. In the next few hours or days we'll find out retailers worldwide that will be selling the collector's edition, as Tecmo has chosen selected retailers.
You get pretty great stuff with this collector's edition but sadly no figures, keychains or t-shirts. At least we get a poster... what of? I can't say...
