Hi gamers and collectors!
Welcome back to yet another addition to my XBOX collection, here I have Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball Variant. So what makes this copy of DOA:XBV so special? Glad you asked! This copy has a variant cover, and well that's about it... I believe from memory when this game was released here in Australia we got the same cover art as the UK, with just the classification sticker over their rating - then later on we got the variant featuring 3 ladies: Hitomi, Tina and Lisa. Our classification is then printed onto the insert.
Apart from the cover, everything else is the same - I did notice however on the spine the XBOX logo is a bit smaller on the variant but nothing too exciting. So with that being said, the contents is exactly the same.
Condition of the variant was ace, apart from the manual holder at the end was broken. Nothing too major as I just replaced it with a lower value game. Manual and DVD are spotless :)
Many may say, Hex, why spend money for just different cover art? Well good question once again. I got this variant for $2, and I'm dead serious. For some reason or another the Australian copy of DOA:XBV has gone up in value within the past month, try finding a copy for $2, there's a challenge. Only ones I can find on eBay are ranging from $48 (not complete) to $68 (complete). What the hell? I dived for a UK copy for this reason, but now I own both so I'm happy.
