Hello gamers.
Today, my study group went into the city to have a look at where gaming started and also visited a game studio Big Ant, who are the only Australian video game development team. Currently though they make only sports games, and other very obscure sports games I didn't really find the games interesting, but the development kits.. Sadly I was unable to take photos in the studio of anything with my phone. A friend of mine however, asked one of the directors if he could send me photos and he accepted!
During the Q&A, many of our questions were answered in detail by the founder and art director they explained that it's not an easy industry to get into. As I was listening to the two guys, I was also watching the team work on a new game (some obscure sports title) and it's such an awesome environment. As many of us want to work in a studio like this, it's all going to take time. At least I have something to look forward to.
Now back to the history of video games excitement (Yes it's easy to say I jizzed XD) spotted so many classic systems that I haven't seen in person, such as the Intellivision, Colecovision, Magnavox Odyssey and many others. Some were running and some were not even functional. Also some old PCs were also on demo as well. Awesomely enough I was able to take pictures, which as normal can be found below.
Overall top day, and I thought it wouldn't of been interesting but it was really good and a lot of fun.
