Lollipop Chainsaw Beaten: The Verdict!

I beat Lollipop Chainsaw this evening, I can say it's a fantastic game! It's a little frustrating here and there, but the satisfaction of completing the level is fairly high. There is also some emotion grabbing as well, which really grabs the player into the story...This made me want to play the whole game through.

Mainly the Arcade level was annoying as it's hard to see where you can step and where you can't, but what was really good about that stage was that it had spoofs of old arcade games, like Pac-Man and Hotel Mario to name a few.
There was some driving, target practise, baseball, basketball events thrown into the progression of the story as well.

The boss fights dragged on as I feel, for example you cut your boss in half and then they either split into 2 enemies or they continue to fight you -- I understand them being all undead and everything but most boss fights I wanted to end within the first health bar but the bosses were very creative though and had good humour.

For those who bought the "Premium Edition" of Lollipop Chainsaw will not be happy after finding out the standard edition as ALL those costumes after beating the game once, even with the "Horrid Ending", while mentioning ending, this game has two -- let your classmates die and you'll get the "Horrid Ending", save them all and get the "Happy Ending".

The story mode may seem short (4 hours long) but there are lots and lots of secrets to find and trophies to collect, I'd say this game is more of a trophy hunter than anything else, and don't get me wrong it's still a fantastic game.

Now a lot of gamers have been mentioning it's not worth 80,70 bucks and indeed it's not, if you can manage to grab it for less then 50 like I did, you'll be happy from the amount of entertainment this game has.

If you haven't played any hack-n-slash games before, I wouldn't say this is a good place to start, the controls are a little tedious which got me pissed off a few times, although it's fun I guess playing it on "Easy" will help :)

Score: 8/10 Lollipops!

Lolli-POP-POP! Lollipop Chainsaw has been shipped -- Plus some feedback.

Hi gamers!

I just got an email from my supplier and it said:

Great news!
We despatched your order to you within the last 24 hours - you should receive it in 4-12 working days.
SKUQtyItemDelivery
PS3G09531Lollipop Chainsaw Game PS3SMALL PACKET - ROW
So yay!!! Can't wait to see Juliet slashing zombies on my screen :3.

As it's been released in Australia for a few days now, I've had a few friends put in their feedback to my twitter post on Facebook. One of my friends says that he wasn't too impressed with the game and the fact it's not worth the Australian price tag.
A few people have been saying it's not worth the full price, and it really should be sold for $30 or less. Of course I can't put my opinion on that remark until I get the game...

That's it for me right now, Happy gaming!

Lolli, Lolli, oh Lollipop! -- Lollipop Chainsaw is here for US and AU other countries to follow!

Hi gamers!

As tweeted by SUDA51 Lollipop Chainsaw has now been released in Stores in the US and Australia soon to be released tomorrow in Japan (doesn't make sense...). Also 2 days later it will be released in the UK -- I pre-ordered my game from OzGameShop so it will be shipped to me soon.
I've also seen stores selling this game for $80 as to where I pre-ordered for $46... but let's not make this a price rant shall we? ;)

I'm not looking up anything about gameplay yet until I own the game, it's just more enjoyable that way. Although I've heard some pretty good stuff about it so far, sounds fun and people are liking it, BUT THAT'S ALL I'M GOING TO READ lol.

So I'm very excited to receive this next week or so, yay! :D

AV Beautiful Girl Fighter has been shipped, and updates.

Hi gamers!

In my last entry I told you about a member from my favourite forum contacted me saying they had a copy of AVBGF. A little while ago I got a message saying it's been posted, so I've got the tracking number and will update on it's process. If this arrives at the same day Lollipop Chainsaw arrives, it will make my day completely :3

On the topic of Lollipop Chainsaw, I've been hassling local stores for a promo poster, I've asked in about 10 places and most of them have ignored or said no. So I'll continue to ask them as they throw them away (I've seen them do it before!), I've got a few friends keeping an eye out for me as well, but I doubt I'll ever see one
-_-

During the afternoon I managed to finally sell my iPod Touch 2nd Gen, for $110 on eBay, not too sure where this money will go but I'm guessing towards my Nintendo 64 collection or a BatGirl Bishoujo statue, but most likely both.

UPDATES!!!! Upcoming rage and playthrough videos, Lollipop Chainsaw hype and a dirty gem!

Hi gamers!

Sorry for the lack of content lately, but I've been mainly vlogging recently, and for me it's quite fun to do so and my latest one has gotten more view than I expected although it's a response, it still has a good amount of views.
I don't go on too long about my videos so far, but I'm planning on doing some play through videos and some arcade racing related hint content.

Now about my rage video -- This video I've been planning since April, I have a few ideas on what games to use and how I'd go about it. As anger is usually amusing for the viewers, it needs to be genuine or acted well in order for it to be funny... So that's where all my planning has been going. Although it was requested by someone dear to me, I'm hoping she will get the most laughs from it.

No we're not talking about videos no more, oh no, it's to that H word, yes Hype... Lollipop Chainsaw is SOON to be released next...FRIDAY! Holyshit, June has hit! Waiting for this game since last year and its soon to be played.

It's actually the ONLY game I've been jumping and down for and yes even more than Dead or Alive 5, and that's saying something.
So, now I'm on the search for a lot of Lollipop Chainsaw merch which I've gotten a friend of mine to contact the development team for.

Lastly, what am I talking about when I mention a dirty gem? Well, the long waited search 2 years (record for video game hunting for one game) AV Beautiful Girl Fighter was offered to me by a very generous member of my favourite forum. For those of you who have no fucking idea what I just mentioned, let me give you a little bit of information about this dirty gem:

AV Beautiful Girl Fighter, is a original pirate game made by the Somari Team for the Famicom -- long story short it's an unofficial fighting game using the SFII engine with stolen characters, such as Chun-Li and Sailor Moon characters etc I won't describe the game in full so here is a Wiki about the whole game [ link ]
Of course this game won't excite many people out there, but it's a pirate game I actually loved playing the ROM of. It's a bitch to play, but it's just as fun as Kart Fighter, oh did I mention it was a hack of Kart Fighter? Well maybe you'd wanna know about that too [ link ]. It's an extremely rare game, and highly collectable :D

Lollipop Chainsaw finally pre-ordered!

Hi gamers!

The long wait has finally gotten shorter with only 5 weeks left till Lollipop Chainsaw gets released! Just like all Diablo 3 fans, I'm hyped for this game, well maybe not like Diablo 3 fans...
I was thinking of buying this at a local store here, but so, so many had the game for $70-$80 which is just a pure rip off. So guess what? I ordered it from the UK :3 at just $46 lncl. shipping. Yes, that's the Playstation 3 version if you're wondering...
Actually my Playstation 3 won't be playing blur for a change, wow. XD
I won't let this entry become a "AUSTRALIAN GAMING MARKET IS A RIPPOFF" rant, so I guess I should end it here.

Collection updates, Modern gaming hypes and other news.

Hi gamers!

With all my current health issues aside, my collection has been doing quite well. I do tend to break away from the Nintendo 64 and move more into modern gaming, but before I do that I also happen to jump back to getting a few XBOX games (they're dirt cheap at the moment). As much as I'm not too interested in modern gaming, there are plenty of squeals to game titles I've loved in previous generations, whether or not they will be good is an entirely different question.

So anyway, after I got back from doctors I opened the packages. The really fucked up thing was one of the sellers packed a game in a cereal box, and yes I'm cereal! A fucking cereal box, WHO THE FUCK WOULD DO THAT!? So without packing the game in a proper box he just slapped a fragile sticker on it hoping that would save it. Too bad it looks like it got stepped on by a dinosaur. Anyway, the game came a little crushed but it was okish, not too bad to the point that I would turn red... I should mention Vigilante 8 was the one in the cereal box...

With the way modern gaming has gone, it really hasn't impressed me much, although Dead or Alive 5, Lollipop Chainsaw and GTA 5 are catching my eye I guess it's not completely over for me. Hardware quality today is just getting worse and worse by the generation, I just don't understand why this is happening as gaming is such a great market... but I still want to be entertained while playing a video game, infact I think we all want to be. I'll be completely honest here, one game this generation has entertained me the most, and that's Blur (my logo isn't like it for nothing)... Many others I've just given up on. As quite a few of my friends are into Final Fantasy it's still good to hear that series is still going strong and going strong for so long. I haven't really experienced a great on going game series apart from Super Mario Bros, and even those are starting to go stale.

Hype is a word we see a lot of with games, and if IGN, Gametrailers and many other video game blog sites stopped posting rumours every week, people would have their own opinions on games, but too bad the general population of the world goes by what "video game generalist" say. A great game to have an example of is "Call of Duty" and yes I have played these games before, and I really don't see the major OMGZ0rd effect everyone else seems to get, it's another military simulator (if you can call it that) FPS. I love FPS games but CoD to me isn't that appealing I have to wet myself for. I think most of the fan base fail to see that it's pretty much the same game over and over again with a different cover, now don't get me wrong it's fine to love a game series but it would be great to hear about another game for a change...

People play games for fun, but others play it for it's popularity... and I think it's only going to get worse.

Lollipop Chainsaw Censorship and Premium Edition

Hi gamers!

I'm REALLY excited for Lollipop Chainsaw, as far as I'm aware there are no *real* limited/special/collector's edition version of the game, sadly. It's a little early to say, but the amount of research I've done on the topic it appears Japan will only get the premium edition. Don't be alarmed though, *we're* not missing out on anything and by *we* I mean the US/UK. (I've stopped buying new games in Australia) the Japanese premium edition will only unlock the gore, sexuality and dual audio in the game, much like the US release but adds an additional outfit.

XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 will have their exclusive "premium" outfit. Below you'll find them. The bright pink "rider" suit is exclusive to XBOX 360 and the "cutie waitress" outfit is exclusive for the Playstation 3's premium.

If you want the extra outfit you'll have to cough up extra. There isn't much said about DLC for this game yet, however there's some feelings that these outfits will hit PSN Stores in the US. Making these outfits Japan exclusive is rather crazy, but since the Playstation 3 is region free there is nothing stopping you from owning this exclusive edition. For XBOX 360  users you're stuck with your region's default outfits sadly.

This is a form of censorship for the game, however it seems to only effect Japan's release. As Australian games don't have R18+ rating I wouldn't be surprised if this trend follows onto Australian release of Lollipop Chainsaw.
