Playstation 3 Arrived. GOOD LORD, it's dead complete story.

Hi gamers,

As I mentioned last week or the week before that, I won a Playstation 3 auction on eBay for a 40GB Playstation 3. The description was mentioned that the system was 100% in working order and fully functional. It arrived this morning and I ripped open the box and wrapped the system and plugged it in. No picture, no sound nothing. Hmmm.

So I message my friend and he tells me to reset the video (the system was set in HDMI) viola! there comes the image! Change my video settings and saved them. Rebooted, and what the fuck?! Nothing, did the system not save the settings? Did the Reboot video recovery and no picture, ok what's going on here?

Contact my friend saying it's not working again. I then left the system and went out to cool down a bit (I was extremely pissed off about this) went to the store and bought a copy of blur to play on PSN with my friends (I was waiting for this moment for 3 years, mind you) came home along with my friend and started to explain the problem, he owns a PS3 the exact same model as this one. I turned it on and it just worked, what? So I started to make a PSN account and then... good lord, it froze? RESET. No picture, fuck me.

My other friend came over a few hours later and he's even a much bigger PS3 user then my friend and I are combined. He's never seen this problem before, and either have, first time I've seen and first time I've heard of it. He brought his RCA cable *in case* it was my spare cable, and still nothing.

After rebooting the system over 40 times, it showed the logo... We were then shown the nice colourful colours of corruption (you'll see what I mean below this post). Unplugged everything and just looked at the sky, thanks for the dead Playstation 3, I'm very satisfied, expect a nice Negative icon in your eBay..

So I've now filed a dispute to PayPal, and hopefully he refunds me. I'm not very happy. I also am pissed off I was kept being told by the seller that it was in HDMI mode, EVEN if it was in HDMI mode, it wouldn't be freezing constantly and when I've changed the system to RCA mode it would also show! So the system is dead. No refunds it has, too bad the law in Australia says otherwise.

Hopefully there is a light at the end of this shit tunnel, cause I sure could use one.

As I was making my PSN account, I was greeted with a nice welcome.

Yeah, working order as you can see.
